MORE ABOUT THE RITZ CARLTON LUAU

Tales of the Kapa Moe takes guests on a magical journey through Hawaiian mythology. The story follows young Moea, who falls into a dream-filled slumber under an enchanted blanket. Through her dreams, the rich traditions and legends of Hawaii unfold through a combination of live performances. The production weaves together traditional elements like Hawaiian chanting and hula with contemporary aerial artistry, creating an experience that respects cultural authenticity while pushing creative boundaries.

The culinary journey matches the show’s ambition. The evening begins at a custom poke station where guests can craft their own bowls with fresh ahi, tako, or vegetarian options. The main buffet features standout dishes including whole roasted pig prepared in a Caja China, Asian-braised beef short ribs, and North Shore-style garlic shrimp. Local sides like Molokai sweet potatoes with citrus coconut glaze complement the main dishes, while the premium open bar serves signature cocktails including the Kapalua Mai Tai.

The newly renovated Aloha Garden Pavilion provides the perfect setting for this premium experience. Unlike traditional beach luaus, this indoor venue offers protection from Kapalua’s evening weather while maintaining an elegant, open-air atmosphere. The space is designed to ensure every guest has clear views of both the stage performances and aerial acts.

What's the different between Ali'i Premium and 'Ohana Seating?

The Ali’i Premium Seating offers an elevated experience with front-row views in the first two rows, early entry at 5:15 PM, a specialty lei greeting, and first access to the buffet stations. The ‘Ohana Seating provides comfortable table seating throughout the venue with excellent views of all performances and includes a traditional shell lei greeting upon arrival.

Loved the silks

I absolutely loved your Luau in Kapalua! The covered venue took any weather worries off our minds, and the staff made us feel at home. The buffet was fantastic—fresh fish, tender kalua pork, and maybe I had too many tropical drinks. The hula and fire dance were epic and I loved the aerial silks.
